And be sure to wake up at 3am every morning to do super crunches and visualizations of a perfectly proportioned body. Actually the latter might really help.The rest needs some re-thinking.

Depends: It depends what the chemical ingredients of "Body Building" products are. Some could be be carcinogenic. More importantly none of these of these things are doing you any good, other than lightening your wallet.
For good health - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Drink enough water daily, so that your urine is mostly colorless. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form. 
Practice safe sex, if you have sex.

Protein : ...And resistance (weight) training.  Limit carbs.  For fastest results, do the slow carb diet or South Beach Diet at the same time use your choice of whey protein drinks/powders.  Of course, follow this advice only when cleared by your doctor as certain disease states would not support this.
