Possibly...: This might lead to a better result; delivering the medication with more precision than before.  However 'football knees' are problematic unless they are given the proper rest time!  if you are not careful you may do more damage than the "shot" can mend.

No limit for now: There is no established limit to its use, as long as it continues to work. In those where it does work, it has been successful is delaying (but not preventing) the need for surgery.

See details: You do not mention the cause of the knee pain and swelling. This is important to know to provide you with an answer to your question. I will assume it is related to osteoarthritis. A knee should not be injected more than 3-4 times a year. If it provides only short term relief then you need to consider other treatment options.

Don't worry: You getting lidocaine will not affect him.  There are other anesthetics we can use, or ice on the injection site for 5-6 minutes works well. And if the shot is done right, most people don' need an anesthetic.

No: This has not been studied so it is a topic of conjecture. Teflon provides a non-stick surface, but that is when it is attached to something else. Injecting it into your knee would not be toxic, but it would fail to address issues of mechanical wear or inflamamtion. Also, foreign material injected into a knee or other parts of the body can lead to infection or a  foreign body reaction.

i'm facing a wrist replacement unless there is a way to inject a cusion to replace the cartilage. there's something for the knee, how about the wrist?

Wrist: Sorry. There is no way to inject a cushion at this point into the wrist. The injection of synvisc (hylan g-f 20) or Hyalgan work only in the knee.

See your Doctor: You need another evaluation and probable endoscopic surgery by a qualified Doctor.  A piece of cartilage may be loose in the joint, or may indicate a type of bone fracture or injury. As a Radiologist I see more joints than almost every other Doctor in the USA.  PRP treatment at this time is pretty useless and a waste of time.  Patients have the same results with or without it.

Front of Knee : Usually knee joint is injected from the lateral or medial side of the knee cap, just at top of the knee cap, so medicine goes underneath the knee cap in your joint . You feel a needle stick and it is not very painful. Almost every one i give the injection to,  says it was not as bad as they expected to hurt. So it should not be too bad for you.Good luck.

: This can only be answered by someone who knows your whole story,  seen you, examined you, looked at you xrays-MRIs.  Discuss with you local Drs for best answer.

Varies: There are several possibilities, usually it would be either related to the original knee condition for which you got the shot or that you had some type of complication or reaction to the shot itself.  I would certainly let your surgeon know.
