I have had my football knee injected several times with so so results. will a guided injection give me better success?

Possibly...: This might lead to a better result; delivering the medication with more precision than before. However 'football knees' are problematic unless they are given the proper rest time! if you are not careful you may do more damage than the "shot" can mend.

Maybe: A guided injection will ensure that the medication is all delivered to the desired location. It is important to evaluate what was injected. You should not have too many corticosteroid injections in one joint. Depending on diagnosis, other injections may have less long- term risks (i.E viscosupplementation, prp- still being researched). All should be done with core/hamstring/quad strengthening.

Consider: Consider further evaluation by your pcp or a specialist if this continues or worsens. Further evaluation with labs and imaging may be required. Inflammatory processes are not the only things that cause pain.
