Doctor injected lidocaine prior to a procedure on his knee. my husband is allergic to lidocaine. what is a viable alternative?

Don't worry: You getting lidocaine will not affect him. There are other anesthetics we can use, or ice on the injection site for 5-6 minutes works well. And if the shot is done right, most people don' need an anesthetic.
