Panic attack = sudden episode of intense fear from no apparent cause that triggers at least 4  physical reactions.It can recur in Panic Disorder &amp; other psychiatric disorders. Heat Stroke= Body temp 104 degrees or &gt; with shock &amp; possible organ damage/death from prolonged exposure/exertion in hot weather.

Neurogenic bladder: Stroke and diabetes can lead to increased risk of neurogenic bladder. Stroke can affect nerve signals between brain and muscles that control bladder emptying. Uncontrolled diabetes can damage nerves that control bladder. See doctor regularly to keep diabetes and blood pressure under control. Also consider seeing a urologist, especially if you retain urine and get frequent bladder infections.

Life's not that way: The goal is to never get diabetes, meaning avoid excess carbs or excess sugars, and be sure to exercise. One's primary care doctor will do routine check-ups, and tests every 1-3 years, to check cholesterols and blood sugars. Only if a person gets diabetes, not well controlled, or for too many years, should there be big worries of complications.

: Although elevated or markedly diminished glucose can have an effect on brain anatomy and physiology, a completed stroke has no effect on blood glucose levels.  If you have experienced a stroke, you should be under the care of a neurologist, and may well require further testing.

when i stand up, my blood sugar raises above 150s and then drops in few minutes very fast, feeling faint and out of breath. i can't stand up. my sugars back to normal only when i lay down. i have pvcs and a mini stroke last week, is this an emergency?

: The symptoms described need evaluation by a cardiologist, especially when accompanied by "feeling faint and short of breath". If you cannot get an immediate appointment with a cardiologist, go to an emergency room.

Brain and hypo: The brain is dependent on glucose for fuel. If blood glucose gets low, you get neurologic symptoms. Initially confusion, "foggy", if untreated you can pass out, have seizure.  Repeated episodes of severe hypoglycemia (i.e. Passing out) can cause brain damage, although there is probably no harm from repeated mild episodes, the kind that most diabetics have periodically.

Glucose metabolism: There are different forms of hypoglycemia (low blood sugar). The most common is called reactive hypoglycemia in which the sugar rises high and then dips low a few hours later. My personal view is that this is an early stage in the development of diabetes. If you go the exercise and diet route this is not a high risk, however.  A six meal, low carb diet is best.

Counter regulation : When blood sugar drops, adrenalin, cortisol, growth hormone, glucagon, and other hormones kick in to increase blood sugar from body stores.  Particularly if treating the low with food, this counter regulatory response to hypoglycemia can make blood sugar high afterwards.  It can happen to some degree even without food. Over treating the low is usually the reason for very high sugars after a low.
