I have right side stomach pain mild.cbc ok just absolute lymphocytes 4.5 normal lab(3.9).sgot sgpt crp ok.why lymphocytes high is it for liver problem?am i need ultrasound? does ibs(c) cause high lymphocytes?i have ibs(c).

Ultrasound scans are used to look for specific things, so each case is different. Lab results usually are numbers, and numbers are just numbers, with little meaning unless a doctor takes in the whole picture of what's going on with his patient. If symptoms suggest gall stones, for example, or if the liver is mysteriously big, or if appendicitis is suspected, then an ultrasound scan might be done.

I have subcentimeter lesions on liver too small to categorize.  what are these?  would it cause me to have stomach pain?

All imaging results need to be interpreted in the clinical context and the doctor who ordered the tests is usually in the best position to do that. Talk to the doctor who ordered the tests. Having said that, you and your doctor may wish to talk to the radiologist who read the imaging study.

Small intrahepatic lesions are not on their own likely to cause abdominal pain.
    If you have abdominal pain it may be due to an abdominal process related to your liver lesions,
     See your pcp or gastroenterologist.

Accepted Answer

The one liver dimension does not mean anything by itself. Nausea and upper stomach pain for one month could be due to gastritis, gall bladder disease, pancreas or liver disease, even colon, and many other problems. Symptoms could also be referred to the upper part of the abdomen from somewhere else - lower abdomen, back, kidneys etc. More history and an exam are needed to clarify.

Should i go to the emergency room? i have had lower stomach pain for the past 4 days but have no other symptoms. i have had kidney and liver problems within the past year?

I recommend that you get prompt evaluation, testing& care at the emergency room after 4 days of persistent lower abdominal pain. There are various possible causes including appendicitis,pelvic inflammatory disease,ruptured ovarian cyst,ectopic pregnancy.

This b cell non-hodgkins lymphoma may produce gastric (stomach) disease and this can be detected in numerous ways.  Discuss with the oncologist seeing you. The gastric involvement is often associated with helicobacter infection.

Since a few months, my mother is having stomach pain in the upper left side or in the center of her abdomen that comes and goes. she always feels bloated/swelled often & she sometimes feels nauseous. what is the likelihood of cancer? possible causes?

Constipation can cause the symptoms you are describing. Not sure how old your mother is but, assuming these symptoms are new, she probably should be examined by her doctor. She may need to see a stomach doctor to rule out other causes of her symptoms. Cancer is just one possibility-there are certainly benign causes-but you want to get her diagnosed and treated regardless of the cause. Good luck!

You may have irritable bowel syndrome or simple constipation. In either case, you can get better by increasing your dietary fiber. An easy way to do that is to eat at least one cup of high fiber (meaning at least 5 grams of fiber per cup) cereal each day. Example: 1 cup of raisin bran every day. Other good ones are kashi cereals, all bran, any of the fiber one products.

Hello i have been recently diagnosed with sarcoidosis of the liver. lately i have been have right side stomach pain that radiates to my back. ty?

Unfortunately,  pain is fairly common with your diagnosis. Its important for you to be followed closely. If this pain is a new issue, I would suggest you need a CT scan or at a minimum an ultrasound of the right upper quadrant. If your skin begins to turn yellow, see a doctor immediately.

Occasional liver discomfort/pain and less often stomach pain. slight stomach growling with slight gas. gets better when i lay down. what is it?

Anatomically, the right upper quadrant (RUQ) of the abdomen includes: liver, gallbladder, pancreatic head, bile ducts and ampulla, c-loop of the duodenum, stomach antrum and pylorus, the hepatic flexure of the colon.  Don't forget the diaphragm and lower chest are pretty close by. The abdominal musculature, ribs, and skin can all contribute as well to localizing RUQ pain. Recent alcohol excess?
