ct scan shows disc bulges at t12-l1, l3-l4, l4-l5, l5-s1,  minimal facet arthropathy at t12 to l4 mild l4-15, severe l5-s1with left foraminal stenosis, retrolisthesis l4-l5, anterolisthesis l5-s1, mild right convex curvature, how bad is this?

CT &amp; spinal problems: This could be normal if you are not having pain.  But suspect you had this done because of pain and you must discuss with your Dr.  I do not know you.  Your team does.

2 bulging discs l3/4 and l4/5. ran on treadmill for few min. now have worse tingling/numbness. did i damage/irritate discs?

Bulging discs: Treadmill is never a good idea when you have disc issues with bulges. The best is a low impact activity like ellipitical. Treadmill acts like a jackhammer on the back, your muscles are probably in spasms as a result.

i have a sciatic pain in both my legs as there is a damage to my l3 and l4 disks. i have very bad pain in mylegs with a strange feeling. my legs don't allow me to standor walk and i fall. what should i do?

Need urgent eval: 1st--if asking about driving--no! if you are having issues with walking and radiating pain, then you cannot safely control a vehicle, get a ride. 2nd--you need an MRI and examination to determine if there is a disc issue present that requires surgery or medical management. See your dr / er or a back surgeon asap.

herniated:l3-l4&l4-l5 w. 3cm cyst beneath near end of sacrum. so much pain i can't walk, outer thigh&leg&foot are all numb and very cold to touch. how can i not make it worse before seeing neurosurgeon in 1 wk? can i make it worse? i'm just scared..?

: Treatment for herniated intervertebral discs become especially urgent when muscle weakness develops. At this time you have severe pain for which a neurosurgeon may end up recommending referral to a pain management specialist as well as physical therapy. If this fails, surgery may then be recommended. Will your physician prescribe more potent pain relievers until you're seen by the neurosurgeon?

i have worsening severe narrowing spinal stenosis at the l3 l4 and l2 l3 levels. i also have partial bone-on-bone on both knees. at times when i walk, my legs buckle . would you think this is caused from the knees or the back issues?

: That symptom is more likely from L2-L4 spinal stenosis.

Typically represent: degenerative settling across a spinal segment, in your case L4 settles on L5 and not lined up with it as it should be, but instead L4 is noted to be lined up slightly backwards relative to L5.

Accepted Answer

If stable,then grade: 1, then physical therapy would be recommended. If mild grade 2, then observation and continued cautious physical therapy. If extreme grade 2, grade 3, or, hopefully not, a grade 4, then surgery can be recommended for necessary stabilization. If progressive, also stabilization. Many people have grade 1's and even some 2's can do well with pt and medications for pain if necessary.

Pain management : It sounds like you have Chronic pain problem . Find a good pain specialist preferably an anesthesiologist who specializes in regional pain injections that will help your pain . I have sent patients to such specialists with excellent results . Back surgery should be your ladt option to entertain . Also think about physical therapy , wright loss , regular exercise . May think of laser Spine Surgery

why would 5mm retrolisthesis at l4/l5 be seen on 1 lumbar xray and not another months later, or another 2 years later? does retrolistesis heal?

Movement possible: Spondylolisthesis is when vertebrae move relative to each other. So it's possible to see it on one film &amp;not another. Also 5mm is small amount &amp;one radiologist may see it (or think she sees it) &amp;other may not. Some minor findings are in eye of the beholder. Sounds like spine has been stable; should be reassuring. Be careful of focusing on spine too much. Can lead to more pain &amp;unneeded procedures.
