What is chronic grade retrolisthesis of the l4 on l5?

Typically represent: degenerative settling across a spinal segment, in your case L4 settles on L5 and not lined up with it as it should be, but instead L4 is noted to be lined up slightly backwards relative to L5.

Why would 5mm retrolisthesis at L4/L5 be seen on 1 lumbar xray and not another months later, or another 2 years later? Does retrolistesis heal?
23m 5mm paracentral bulge @ l4-5 & l5-s1, 4mm retrolisthesis at both levels as well. S/p l5-s1 discectomy/hemilaminotomy & 3 epidurals. Still have daily pain at least 4/10 & getting worse. What next?
An X-ray (not CT or MRI) indicates that I have a L4/L5 0.3 cm degenerative Grade 1 retrolisthesis. I am approx 70 yrs. What is the usual treatment for this, if there is one? Also, is it unlikely that a vertebra could somehow slip back into place?
Transitional lumbosacral anatomy. The inferiormost, well- formed disc space is labeled L5-S1. Mild retrolisthesis of L5 on S1. Minimal retrolisthesis of L4 on L5. The lumbar vertebrae are normal in height. Would this cause me pain? What does it mean?
