Yes : Hi, yes u can. There is no real interaction that we know of. Having said that a few normal pts who have tried probiotics describe diarrhea probably as a consequence of the change in the flora of  the intestine. So monitor for the same and discuss with the physician who prescribed the linzess. Hope this helps.

i have had stomache problems. i am on linzess, omeprazole, and mirolax. i bought visobiome probiotic. can i take all three before bed?

: Have you been adequately evaluated, preferably by a gastroenterologist, for your abdominal distress especially if this is a rather new symptom?  I'm concerned that this symptom is not simply part of an irritable bowel syndrome. At your age I think it's important to clarify the cause of your abdominal discomfort.  Linzess is best taken in the AM on an empty stomach. Are thesemeds ceffective for you

Constipation: Start with 6-8 cups of water a day, increase fiber - dried beans, sweet potatoes, blackberries, apples.  Adding probiotics is never a bad thing - ordinary yogurt with live cultures will do - but try some conservative measures to treat the constipation first and your digestion is likely to improve.

Not probiotics: Doubt probiotics is causing the GERD exacerbation. Check with the doctor who prescribed you the Linzess. I am not aware that it should cause GERD worsening either. Perhaps you have changed your eating habit recently too?

The gut lining has a difficult time maintaining the balance of healthy bacteria with stress, disease, poor sleep, poor nutrition, antibiotic or medication use. Recent studies have shown benefits even pregnant patients. Probiotics can help with immune function, regulate constipation/diarrhea, bloating, help with GI diseases and even skin conditions.

•	Antibiotic-related diarrhea

Yes: Probiotics have little to no value in a healthy gut, but if you are on antibiotics, suffering from irritable bowel syndrome or diarrhea, then the probiotics should have at leat one billion colonies each of several different bacteria such as lactobacillus.

Pro mean with: and bio means life.  Probiotics help the GI system digest food.  Anti means against. So, if one takes excessive antibiotics (which are sometimes needed) they can kill off the good bacteria in our GI systems and we can have digestive problems.  This can happen w/out antibiotics at times too.  So, the probiotics replace the good bacteria that are missing or low.  Peace and good health.

No!: The qualities of a good probiotic are the number of good  bacteria per capsule and the number of species of good bacteria! 10 billion with ten strains is what to try for!
