Tongue: I am unaware of omeprazole having any effects on your tongue. There are filiform structures on the back of your tongue these can get irritated and make it feel like something is there.

me- hiatal hernia- i take 40 mg omeprazole x2/day. i take dbl what dr. rx. i still have a lot of acid reflux even with that dose. i don't want surgery with mesh involved so what are my options? because i am miserable every day.

: Eliminate caffeine and nicotine from your diet as these aggravate reflux. Never lay down for at least an hour after eating a meal, snack or drinking fluids. Keep a food diary to select and remove any foods/snacks that may be followed by increased reflux.

Omeprazole: Omeprazole reduces stomach acid and reduces symptoms of heartburn. It can limit acid injury or allow healing of acid injury to the esophagus, stomach, and duodenum mucosa. Omeprazole can induce magnesium deficiency, impair protein digestion, minimally - and can induce allergic-like reactions in kidney, leading to some loss of functions - rare. Do not be alarmed - benefits far outweigh risks.

i have fairly severe gastritis that causes intense stomach pains every day, sometimes even when i take my omeprazole. should i be concerned?

Yes: Intense pain anywhere should always be of concern. Intense abdominal pain can be due to ulcers, gall stones or other gall bladder issues, diverticulitis, acid reflux disease, pancreatitis, or even from heart or lung causes. Best to see your doctor to find out what is the cause of your pain.

Stop Aspirin: Not only is the answer a very loud no. But, Aspirin over use can cause head aches.  You have to find a different way to treat your head ache.

i have acid coming up in my stomach all day long, i take 20mg of omeprazole every morning but i still get the acid back flow, i have a bad taste in my mouth and severe dry mouth. i don't get heartburn or do i have an upset stomach, what could this be?

Acid reflux: Consider  testing  for h pylori a bacteria  associated with GERD- though usually individuals have pain as well, hiatal hernia, food intolerances(gluten, milk) consider EGD-endoscopy.   Avoid motrin like products spicy food, fatty  foods chocholate,caffeine  alcohol smoking, tight clothes .  
Consider adding famotadine or Carafate  and increasing omeprazole to 40. Follow up with gastroenterology

Hard to: explain. HepC with liver cirrhosis and portal hypertension will be likely reason for the bleeding. likely bleeding rectal varices. May need management of HepC and if portal hypertension reducing portal pressure with beta blockers

Something quick: Drugs like Omeprazole do not work quickly. For your purposes you may want ask your physician about using an h-2 receptor blocking agent like Pepcid (famotidine) (pepcid (famotidine) complete may be a good choice.
