Less than 2 years: Please consult with your pediatrician. The medication label is indicated for children two years old and older. 
You may use Benadryl Children's syrup, dosed for her weight to control allergic symptoms. Allergy panel testing is recommended and before staring the Benadryl, have a virtual or in person consultation. Watch for signs of distress, wheezing and drooling.

No need, but you can: After 6 mths old ; once eating solids, you can give 1:10 diluted juice, at mealtimes only, although babies certainly don't need it. Water is always the best choice as an additional drink to your baby's usual milk. However, if you are bringing up your baby as a vegetarian, giving her fruit juice with meals will help her body absorb the iron from her food. Best!

80mg: The recommended dose for a infant is 10-15 mg/kg & your baby weighs about 8kg. I would start at 80mg. Many products that come in dropper bottles have lines on the dropper, the first line is usually 40 mg and the 2nd is 80.

Use instinct: Alternate Ibuprofen and Acetaminophen every couple hours and use luke warm towels under arms and over groin and on the head to help reduce fever.  Use dosing on the bottles.  Give adequate fluids but do not force to drink.  When you start to feel nervous that she is not getting better, take her to the doctor.  Do not just wait by the clock - use appropriate instinct.

See pediatrician: If your kids are well nourished overall, giving them multivitamins will not drastically change their degree of immunity. The flu shot would be more effective than vitamins. If you'd like to give vitamins still, it is not a bad idea for overall health. Follow the package directions for a kids multivitamin and speak to your eight-month-old's pediatrician for a specific recommendation.

Would never use it: Company literature lists it as appropriate for kids over 3 yr. I would never recommend it for a 7 mo. Kids with nasal congestion at that age respond best to a nasal wash out using nasal saline. The antihistamine products like allergex thicken mucous &amp; enter the brain causing irritability. As such, I would never use it at that age.

Allergy rash: He may be allergic to a component in that medication.  Stop giving him the medication and bring it along with your child to your health care giver to discuss his rash.

Depends: If the kid broke out in hives I might use an antihistamine like this. I  don't find it helpful for colds or drainage &amp; find it can thicken secretions &amp; make them worse. This is an okay med when used for the right reasons. Since you didn't post why it was suggested it is hard to comment.

she has a post nasal dry cough, and i need an antihistamine for her (along with the couch suppressant syrup), but i have run out of allergex syrup.
please advise

Reduce adult dose: Avoid allergic triggers such as dust, mold, pollen and pet dander. Rinse nasal passages with saline and please see your pediatrician. A children's preparation dosed for your child's weight is preferred. If the mg equivalent is the same dose then one dose may be provided until you see your pediatrician.
