Ask pediatrician: Children's Allegra (fexofenadine) is recommend for two years and up. I would consult pediatrician on advisability of giving Allegra (fexofenadine) to 8 month old.

Food panel test: A food allergy blood test panel, IgE and eosinophil count is advised. The underlying causes or triggers of allergic responses should be avoided. Very often at this age there may be food allergic responses. The antihistamine is a systemic treatment and the dose is as advised by your PCP. If there is a history of eczema and family allergic disease, it is likely that allergic rhinitis will develop
