Ring worm : Is not actually worms.  It is a fungal rash that gives an appearance of worms.  You can use an anti fungal cream.  If it is on the scalp you need oral medication.  See your doctor for the correct treatment

Talk to your Dr.: Ringworm is actually not a worm, but a fungus. It infects the skin and causes circular lesions. Treatment is more difficult if the ringworm (tinea) is in the scalp. Typically, oral griseofulvin for 4-6 weeks is prescribed by a dr. The treatment can take up to 2 cycles to completely cure the lesions. Unfortunately even after treatment, you can be reinfected from others/animals. Talk to your Dr.

Protective response: A cough is a protective response by the lung to expel mucous or irritants that trigger sensors. Any environmental agents (dust, fumes, hair spray, dry heat, etc. ) can trigger a cough. Any infectious process that triggers excess mucous buildup can also. It has nothing to do with a ringworm in any location.

Ringworm: It is important to continue to use the cream for an extra week, even after the rash disappears, since small amounts of fungus can still exist in the skin. You can use ketoconazole three times a day. If ketoconazole doesn't cure the ringworm, then oral antifungals like Lamisil (terbinafine) or ketoconazole tablets can be prescribed.

Incomplete question: One cardinal rule of treatment is the right treatment will seldom if ever work for the wrong diagnosis. You likely have something else. Your local doc or dermatologist could confirm or exclude the label and get you on a better treatment plan.

Let explain: A ringworm rash usually appears as a scaly patch with an outer edge that is raised and red. As the patch spreads, the inside of the circle may appear much paler and actually seem to be healthy again. The patch may be single or actually several overlapping circles.

Perhaps...: Ringworm is usually easy to treat. I wonder whether you are re-infecting each other.   Have all of the members in the family (presume that they all have the same problem) been treated at the same time or are they otherwise free of ringworm?

it's amanda again, this is a continuation of my previous message which was short, i was told i gave ring worms which no medication i was given works, it just keeps on spreading everytime it comes back and this is every year , for 4 years?

Other causes: Amanda,  is it possible that your skin lesions are not ringworm?Granuloma annulare,  Urticaria , Tinea corporis, and Pityriasis roses also look like ringworms. A visit to a dermatologist may be helpful. 
Also have you tried local anti fungal agents or systemic as well? Knowing the location will be useful as additional therapy like foot powder or talcum can be adjunctive therapy.

Depends: Ring worms are fungal infections of the skin.  They are usually round or irregularly round with a central clearing and a heaped up spreading border.  They itch.  Small ones can be treated with over the counter terbinafine for a minimum of 2 weeks twice a day.  Larger ones and more resistant ones may require an oral medication (same one) or Griseofulvin for a month or more.  See pcp or derm if ?

Fungal infection: Yes, it is possible. It is caused by a fungus called Tinea. To have a confirmation of this type of skin infection and to get the appropriate treatment you need to have your child's pediatrician have a look at the baby's skin.
