ECG: Sorry but this question can't be answered simply. We use ECG in folks with chest pains because there are some very typical and fairly specific changes seen in myocardial ischemia. On the other hand loads of things can cause 'abnormal' ECG and some of those loads are seen in people with chest pain without serious problems.

Yes: It depends on the nature of the abnormality, but abnormal ecgs can be caused by minor conditions.  But the converse can also true; severe cardiac disease can be associated with normal ecgs.

Right axis deviation: Electrocardiographic right axis deviation which is increasing over time associated with an ASD can indicate right ventricular dilation. If the ECG is a one point in time measurement, then its reliabiltiy as a predictor of right heart enlargement is less. Discuss with your doctor. Measuring shunt with echo is an easy way to evaluate the ASD. Sometimes a TEE is needed.

No.: Usually anxiety doesn't cause an abnormal ekg.  Anxiety can make your heart rate faster, but shouldn't affect the electrical conduction of the heart.  The cardiologist who did your original ekg would be a great person to get a second opinion on this.  Good luck!

Fluid in the legs: If someone has had a recent illness, swelling in the legs can be a byproduct of that-esp. if it was severe. If you had C. diff, then you probably were quite ill. I suspect  your albumin must be low (a protein in the blood and correlate of good health). Leg swelling in your case is probably from tissue fluid (lymph) that's sitting there in that 3rd space. As your health recovers, it should go away.

Yes: Different  machines, diffrent interpreters  , different conditions with transient changes can all affect the outcome. Lead placement can also be an issue. If leads are backwards etc. Computers often interpret ECG for primarydrs. They are programmed to overcall tracings to avoid missing real problems.

: An EKG with normal variation should not be interpreted as abnormal. Normal variation does mean normal in medicine. Anxiety can cause sinus tachycardia or ectopic heart beats so the EKG result will be read as abnormal. You passed the stress test which rules out coronary insufficiency as the cause of the chest pain.
