Yes: Nuts have a lot of calories. Just 12 pieces of walnuts is sufficient to get your daily need of Omega 3. If you eat more, you will gain weight without increase benefit. You will also increase your cholesterol and get constipated. So, drink lot sod water if you eat a lot of nuts.

Scam: They will work if and only if you restrict calories and actively exercise. There is no magic food, supplement or anything else. The key is to find a few quality friends who are involved with fitness and join them, as intensely as you can. Your weight will adjust itself.

: Chia seeds may or may not actually help you lose weight based off varying studies.  Hunger is typically driven by mechanical receptors (is my stomach full?) and hormone levels (do I have enough calories?).  Chia seeds are "extra" calories, so you would expect a decrease in hunger from this alone.  However, they also expand when wet which may contribute to the decreased hunger effect.

Research says : Otherwise. Chia are seeds from salvia hispanca which grows in the desert. They can be a healthy snack as they contain omega-3 fatty acids, fiber, protein ; antioxidants. Of two studies on the effect of chia on weight loss – neither study showed weight loss effects.

Maybe: Ground chia seeds swell up in your stomach and make you feel full with less food. Lentils are high in fiber. You also need green vegetables. That should be the mainstay of your diet. If you are not vegetarian i would add some lean meat, fish or chicken.

Probably: Any nut or seed when eaten can potentially trigger an allergic reaction.  While there are many reports of allergic reactions to chia seed found on the internet, i was unable to find a scientific medical article in pubmed.Gov (national library of medicine) to confirm this.  If a person has experienced a reaction after eating chia seeds, they should seek consultation with an allergist.

Knox brand...: Gelatin? That's from  cow hooves. Chia seed is a seed.

No: Not sure what substance(s) you are trying to detox from, but chia won't detox you of anything. It's a good fiber, so it may capture some substances from the GI tract but won't do anything for those that have been absorbed into the bloodstream.

A good fiber source: Unless you are allergic, or have a diagnosis of diverticulosis or diverticulitis, there are no side effects to eating chia seeds. In fact, chia seeds are a great source of fiber, protein, and omega 3.  If you have diverticulosis, you should avoid chia or any types of seeds or nuts as they could become lodged in a diverticula and cause inflammation or worse, perforation.
