No: Buspar (buspirone) does not cause "drug tolerance" and therefore there is no withdrawal if you skip a dose.  Of course, it's still better not to skip doses if you want it to work as well as it can.

i am scared to death to take the meds the dr prescribed. is 45mg buspar (buspirone) and 1mg liquid lexapro high? can it cause seratonin syndrom? pls help me.....

Psychiatric meds: 45 mg of Buspar (buspirone) is not too much.  It is within the dosing range.  A 1mg of Lexapro does not make sense.  It doesn't come that way.  If you have real concerns about this, please discuss it with your doctor.

Yes: In general for patients without severe kidney or liver impairment it is safe to take both Buspar (buspirone) and Lisinopril. No published drug interactions between these two medications. As a general rule of thumb, patients should always carry a list (written or on their phone) of ALL the medications and supplements they take so their prescribing physician can review.

Medications interact: Zzzquil is Diphenhydramine 50 mg, an antihistamine. In combo with Zoloft, BusPar (buspirone), (buspirone) Ativan and/or Klonopin it may increase dizziness, drowsiness, difficulty concentrating. Zoloft and BusPar (buspirone) increase serotonin and rarely may cause serious serotonin syndrome in which case seek immediate medical attention. Sleep hygiene is best for sleep with meds as necessary, Work with prescriber, Best regards.

i took a thyroid test recently. t3 uptake is "high" but t4, free t4 index, t3 total and tsh are all normal. i suffer from generalized anxiety disorder and am on buspirone. was wondering  if this t3 uptake could relate to my anxiety ?

Not likely,,,: It’s unlikely that this medication is related to your T3 uptake or thyroid function in general.  Having said that, it’s still a good idea to discuss the results with your Dr., especially related to how high your T3 uptake was and in regard to your overall health profile.  Best of luck.

Buspar (buspirone): I wouldn't expect a problem with this one time taking of the second dose after 5 hours, but if you've had any prior side effects or difficulty taking a stronger dose, I would not take an additional dose but wait for tomorrow and resume your normal dosage schedule. Your pharmacist can also help you with questions on your medications if your physician isn't available.

Talk to your doctor!: Talk to your doctor! the basic answer is that you should take Buspar (buspirone) as long as directed by your doctor. Do not stop it on your own. You will need to get instructions on how to stop taking it. Originally Buspar (buspirone) was not thought to cause problems when it was taken for a short time. Sometimes it is used for long periods of time, in those cases many physicians will wean off slowly. Ask your physician.

Unclear: Buspirone typically helps with anxiety. 15 mg is not a high dose.  But it is possible to get the side effects taht you mention. I think that you and your doctor should try to sort out whether the symptoms are a part of the anxiety, for which you are taking the buspirone; or, whether the symptoms are a side effect.
