I took a thyroid test recently. t3 uptake is "high" but t4, free t4 index, t3 total and tsh are all normal. i suffer from generalized anxiety disorder and am on buspirone. was wondering if this t3 uptake could relate to my anxiety ?

Not likely,,,: It’s unlikely that this medication is related to your T3 uptake or thyroid function in general. Having said that, it’s still a good idea to discuss the results with your Dr., especially related to how high your T3 uptake was and in regard to your overall health profile. Best of luck.
