my 5 month old daughter has two small cysts in her gums. i asked her previous pediatrician and he said that was because her teeth were forming but she been with it since she was 2 months old. is that normal or something i should be concerned?

Cysts : This is common in this age group and they should subside as she grows older

my 3 1/2 month old baby has a white spot on her gum, not where a tooth will be but below it. i'm worried?

Depends where on gum: and how large.  smaller white spots can some times occur on any part of the gum.  In all likelyhood this will resolve on it's own.  Worse case scenario, this could be a tooth that is malpositioned and coming through at that spot.  But that would be unusual for a 3.5 month infant.  I would make sure there are no other white spots in the mouth that could be a sign of a yeast infection or thrush.

was leaning over my 2 month old and dropped my gum out of my mouth and it hit my baby in the face. will this make my baby sick?

No.: Wipe off the baby with a clean washcloth or baby wipe.

Possible, but: There can be many reasons for such behavior. Babies constantly exploring!

Not likely: It is remotely possible that the baby will get a herpes infection but very unlikely.

my 2 month old premature baby has a small fine rash that sometimes turns red when touched, it gets white then scaly, it started on the head and has migrated to the face, mostly around the eyes,mouth and ears and slowly moving down the body ?

Rash: rashes are difficult to assess without seeing what the rash looks and feels like - could be a reaction to skin products used or atopic eczema
it is better to have your paediatrician check it out and prescribe the appropriate treatment
in the mean time if the baby does not have a fever it is unlikely due to an infection - change bath products to hypo allergenic frangrance free products

Yes: That can be quite normal.  Some babies don't get a first tooth until they're over a year old.

It is not unusual: Although the eruption patterns of teeth sometimes follow the "charts" , variability is normal.    6 year molars erupt around 6 years of age but sometimes at age 4 and occasionally later than 7.   Early eruption of posterior deciduous teeth should not cause undue alarm but it is a good idea to take your child to the first dental visit upon eruption of the first tooth or first birthday.

It is possible: Most primary (baby) teeth begin to appear at 4 to 6 months and are all erupted around age 2 1/2.  Of course there is variability; if there are extra (supernumary) teeth they may appear at unexpected times/.

13 week old is incessantly crying like he is in pain. how soon do babies teeth?

Accepted Answer

Something else: It is possible that your baby is teething, but this is one the young side.  Signs of teething would be drooling and a bump on the gum tissue and some crankiness but typically not severe pain. Call the pediatrician asap. They can help you.
