Typically : Typically a dermatologist or surgeon will be the ones to treat a sebaceous.  Occasionally there is a well trained general practice doctor that might want to tackle this but that is rare.

i have a (what i think is) a pilonidal cyst. it has been draining blood since wednesday after my doctor drained it in office. he got blood and pus out. when i take the gauze off and go to the bathroom it bleeds a good bit. will it be okay til i go ba?

Pilonidal cyst: You need surgical closure of pilonidal tract . Simple drainage is not a permanent solution. It will continue to get reinfected .

i'm trying to understand what my thyroid ultra sound mean because my doctor is out of the office for a week. impression: 1. mild enlargement of thyroid gland with mild heterogeneity. no evidence of focal nodule or cyst.?

: Ultrasonogram revealed a mild enlargement of thyroid gland without cyst or nodule.  These findings are not specific enough to make a diagnosis.  More lab works are likely forthcoming to sort out the cause of thyroid enlargement.

Ovarian cyst/bleedin: Check a pregnancy test? May also be infection, (ureoplasma, mycoplasma, BV) check thyroid as well and prolactin. When we ovulate the egg is released from a cyst , was that the kind of cyst seen? or was it  from polycystic ovarian disease or more pathologic cysts? At this point you will see someone tomorrow so do not worry, ,know that menstraul irregularities are very common and ovulation has cysts

Chat with urologist: If no pain, leave it alone if has been stable for a long time.  A sonogram can determine how much is solid and how much is cystic.  Hopefully all cystic. If pain discuss with a urologist. I am sure you know but you should NEVER  poke through scrotum to drain in this situation. Urologist will direct the best plan.

Check with your Peds: I would visit your  pediatrician to take a look and make a decision. Pediatric urologist might also help to diagnose if there is no abnormality with the urinary system, often confused with the umbilical cyst ( something called urachal cyst).

Yes: They can be removed by a general surgeon under local anesthetic when they are not inflamed.  Make an appointment with one and discuss the options.

Facial Cyst: This can be removed by a facial plastic surgeon, ent, dermatologist or plastic surgeon.

Primary doctor: See you primary care doctor to find out whether it is truly a superficial cyst, like a sebaceous cyst, or if it is a deeper fluid-filled cyst. The superficial one can be taken out by a general surgeon, but a deeper cyst should be seen by an orthopedist.
