Typically : Typically a dermatologist or surgeon will be the ones to treat a sebaceous. Occasionally there is a well trained general practice doctor that might want to tackle this but that is rare.

Plastic surgeon: Best to go see a plastic surgeon who can excise the entire cyst and its sac.

Sebaceous Cyst: Many physicians including general surgeons, family practitioners, dermatologists, and plastic surgeon can excise skin lesions. The best way to find out about this physician is to call the office and find out if and how often he/she performs the procedure. Alternatively, you can ask your friends who they went to for similar problems and whether or not they were satisfied with their care.
