Still tissue: It means that you have miscarried but some of the pregnancy tissue is still in the uterus. Most of the time you will not have any problems after an incomplete abortion, but occasionally there can be scar tissue or remnant of the placenta inside that can interfere with getting pregnant.

Accepted Answer

Not necessarily: The d;c should have emptied the uterus of any left over tissue. If your periods have returned to normal and you have no pelvic pain or spotting after a couple of months then it should have no bearing on the incomplete abortion. Did the ob-gyn give you any reason for the incomplete abortion?

I'm sorry I don't: think I can be of much help. I don't know what T.asa50 mg is. If it is aspirin, this would not be the reason for a miscarriage; often aspirin is given to prevent miscarriage. Please write again if there are further details you wish to provide and/or question remain. Stay well:)

Abortion terminology: In medical terms, an abortion is the loss of a pregnancy prior to 20 weeks gestation.  An induced or elective abortion is what most people think of when they hear the word abortion. In medical diagnostic terminology, a miscarriage is considered a spontaneous abortion. An incomplete abortion is a miscarriage that has begun, but not all of the pregnancy tissue has been expelled.

went for my ultrasound yesterday. doc said i have an incomplete abortion. more bleeding is needed to get rid of the uterine tissue. what should i do?

There isn't much: You can do except give it time.  They probably gave u instructions to go to the er for heavy bleeding or signs of infection.  There is a medicine called Misoprostol which can make the uterus cramp and expedite the situation, a d@c could be done for excessive bleeding. Sorry about your loss, it shouldn't change your chances of a successful pregnancy next time around.

Possibly yes: Assume you took the cytotec to cause an abortion?  It is usually used together with mifepristone for that.  Any type of abortion, surgical or medical, can potentially be incomplete, which can result in persistent vaginal bleeding &amp; can be dangerous.  I strongly recommend a complete evaluation by GYN Dr who may recommend blood work &amp; ultrasound to evaluate this.

2 weeks, 2 options: A home pregnancy test will reliably turn positive about 2 weeks after conception, around the same time you'll be missing your period.  There can still be false negatives at this time though, so a repeat 2 weeks later can be helpful.  A pregnancy can be aborted medically (using the mifepristone + misoprostol pill) or later on can be aborted with a surgical procedure through the vagina/cervix.

i might be 3 weeks pregnant and my boyfriend and i aren't ready  and i don't want to have an abortion is there any other way to stop my pregnancy?

No difference: If a person purposely stops her pregnancy, it is called an abortion, and there are different ways of abortion to "get rid" of one's baby embryo. Early in pregnancy, there are pills to do that. That being said, a pregnant woman who does not want her baby can give her baby to another family. Surely somebody else in the country might be more than happy to adopt and raise a nice baby.
