Possible: Cancer should be the first suspect any unusual swelling , ' bumps' ulcer as cancer till it is proved otherwise. So a curable lesion will not be missed. See your doctor  first for examination and possible biopsy.

This : This is hard to answer without actually seeing it but you may have candidial pharyngitis (thrush). People who have been on antibiotics, immunosuppressed, poor oral hygiene, can be prone to this. I would have your pcp , internist, or ENT if needed take a look before recommending a specific treatment.

Enlarged taste buds?: Could be enlarged taste buds or normal tongue anatomy.  Hard to say.  If in doubt, I would see either an ENT Dr. or a dentist.

Anatomy of tongue: Those bumps were almost certainly always there- you just probably never looked that closely before. The anatomy of the tongue is rather complex after all. If you are having a sore throat - it's more likely the back part of your throat that is irritated (posterior pharynx). Look for redness or pus spots - if you have that with a fever, you'll need to see a doc to make sure you don't have Strep. TC

Several issues: The white tongue could be from a coating that can be removed with better oral hygiene and a tongue scraper....Or lichen planus, thrush or something else.  The bumps may be the normal papillae of the tongue.  A sore throat is not normal.  I suggest that you consult with an oral surgeon or your physician for a personal evaluation to see exactly what is going on and treatment if indicated.

Tongue problem: . This could be a fungal infection, but you should check 1st with your physician. Also, maybe you are eating spicy food and stop eating spicy food and start multivitamins like Centrum and vitamin C and eat healthy and that should most likely go away, but you need to be started maybe on an antifungal agent.

i have little bumps on back sides of my tongue for over 6 months i do not have a sore throat or anything else but those small bumps? and back of tongue also white?

: Sounds like you probably are noticing circumvallate papillae, which are entirely normal -- everybody has several of them (usually 7 to 11) in a row on the back of the tongue. Google it for more information and typical photos. White coating of the tongue also is usually normal. See a doctor if you remain concerned.
