Broken Bones: Without knowing the results of the radiographs, it is hard to advise you. We're use to virtually immediate results here in the US, not 3 to 5 days. I suggest you follow your son's physician's recommendations.

Depends: It may be as short as 1 week, but usually lasts several weeks, and up to 6 weeks, depending on the type and severity of break.

Bruise: Sometimes after an injury the bruise changes color as it is reabsorbed..  New appearance that appears to be like an acute bruise could be continued damage and more aggressive immobilization may be needed.

Foot fracture: It can take several weeks for bruising and discoloration and swelling to completely resolve.  Meanwhile, make sure you are under the care of your physician, pcp, or foot specialist and following their guidance.  Make sure the progression of healing is checked every visit and with serial xrays.  Be sure to rest and elevate and bear no weight upon your broken foot- unprotected ! use crutches ! -h-.

Basically if you can stand and bear weight the foot is unlikely broken and this is just a bruise. However if you can not bear weight and you have specific pain spots get checked and you likely need a radiograph.

i twisted my rt knee bowling.  it hurts below the knee cap and behind the knee with pain generating up the thigh and down to foot,bruise under knee?

See medical provider: A twisting injury to your knee can be a number of things from a sprain to arthritis flair up or cartilage tearing.  See a medical provider for an evaluation with X-rays.  You may also need an MRI to look for ligament or cartilage tearing.

Bruising of the feet: Chiari Malformation is a congenital malformation with defects in the cerebelium--the part of the brain that controls balance and cooordination; symptoms are usually muscle weakness, numbness, headaches, and balance problems

if you are having numbness it is possible to sprain your ankle without felling the injury--this could result in your bruising----CM does not directly cause bruising

Could be a blood clo: This needs  immediate evaluation. This coud be a blood clot. Please  contact your physician  now. It may be a different cause but you need to get  evaluated.
