Same cost: The price of dental procedures will cost the same amout whether you have insurance or not as dentists are not allowed to have separate fees for the same procedure.  Talk to your dentist and get a second or third opinion, but the teeth should be straightened so the bite, muscles and upper quadrant function in harmony.

Accepted Answer

Nope: Just because braces aren't "hurting" or still feel as "tight" does not mean that they are still not working.  Ask your orthodontist for an estimate of remaining treatment at your next visit.  Don't assume that they are finished - there may be much left to do.  Only the orthodontist knows for sure.

Box elastics: Generally box elastics are used to settle vertical occlusion in the segment being guided.  For an exact answer to your question you must ask your treating Dentist or specialist Orthodontist.  No 2 malocclusions are alike, so treatment mechanics vary from patient to patient.

i got my braces off on november 2022 and ive got my retainers for free the first time. they recently broke and i cant afford new ones. the top ones broke on the last two left molars. i want to know if i will be ok or not?

: Your first set of retainers were included in the total price of your treatment... they were not free. You will need to find the funds to have a new set fabricated to avoid the shifting of your teeth. Failure to remake the retainers may negate all the hard work straightening your teeth. Re-evaluate your expenses.
