Which part?: The most common reason for this would be carpal tunnel in which case your 1st 3 or 4 fingers would go numb.  Try a carpal tunnel splint at night for a while.  It is possible you might need an injection in your wrist.  See a pmr doctor or orthopedic surgeon.

Most : Most likely carpal tunnel syndrome.  We have a tunnel in our wrist that a nerve and all the tendons go through.  Like loose joints and tight joints, some tunnels are tighter than others.  If you are born with a tight tunnel, later in life symptoms exactly like yours appear.

You could see if wrist splints that hold your wrists straight help you to sleep.  Eventually your doctor will need to check it.

Carpal tunnel syndrome: if you have numbness and tingling in your thumb, index finger and long finger you probably have carpal tunnel syndrome. If in your ring and little finger it is cubical tunnel syndrome. Early treatment is splinting and possibly steroid injections.

Carpal tunnel: Carpal tunnel syndrome. Possibly cubital tunnel syndrome also. Numbness and tingling in the hand that wakes you up at night is a complaint in over 95% of people with carpal tunnel syndrome. Wrist splints and elbow guards can help at night. Neuropathic medicine and compound cream will reduce the numbness and tingling too. An electromyogram and nerve conduction study will confirm the diagnosis.

Numbness: Your symptoms could be due to carpal tunnel syndrome. If you have an occupation with repetitive hand movements or where you sit at a computer and do a lot of typing, it can be associated with this. Generally, people wake up with symptoms worse when they wake up and have to shake their hands to "wake them". Most providers will initially recommend wrist splints. See your doctor for further eval.
