Numbness: Your symptoms could be due to carpal tunnel syndrome. If you have an occupation with repetitive hand movements or where you sit at a computer and do a lot of typing, it can be associated with this. Generally, people wake up with symptoms worse when they wake up and have to shake their hands to "wake them". Most providers will initially recommend wrist splints. See your doctor for further eval.
