Tricky O2: We get o2 by breathing in air that shares o2 with our bloodstream at the lung, and pumped to cells by our heart.
Oxygen is necessary for cells to work. If we do not breathe or do not have our blood pumping this can lessen the amount of o2 we have for cells. Without o2 our cells can die. Slowing the work of cells can help protect them from damage from lack of o2, but prognosis is variable. Goodluck.

No: It is not normal for it to drop then. It usually drops 1-2 days prior to ovulation and if trying to conceive that is when you should have intercourse. . If it drops 8 days before your period is due maybe you are off on your days and you are ovulating then?

Possibly.: Low temperatures are sometimes indicative of infection just like high temperatures. That temperature is not one to worry about though, it likely is just normal fluctuation and will improve. In general doctors are wise to be vigilant for infection when seeing low temperatures, although yours is not that low so I wouldn't worry too much about it.

Temp drop: Our body temperature normally drops while we are sleeping during the night. The temperature taken on your child in the ear canal or mouth may not reflect his/her accurate core body temperature. Rectal temperature might be a better way to check the core body temperature.

Yes: OPKs just measure urinary luteinizing hormone.  Once the level gets above a certain cut off the test turns positive and usually stays positive for a few days.  If you don't ovulate every month the level may occur much earlier or later in the cycle or not at all.  Don't forget the P in OPK stands for prediction, not guarenteed.

Need more info: Without more history and your medical records it is not possible to answer this clearly, but you may be experiencing sepsis with UTIs and sometimes septic patients will be hypothermic (have body temperatures below normal).  Your hypothyroidism may also be playing a role.
