cystolitholapaxy 4 days ago. about 30 bladder stones removed. procedure was outpatient. today, i passed two large blood clots and a 3rd just now. is this expected? im afraid to drink water! can a blood clot block my urethra? i am me thanks?

: Blood clots can block the urethra. Drinking plenty of water after the procedure is important in preventing clots from doing so. Drink at least 8 glasses of liquids per day. Call your urologist if you can't void, develop fever, abdominal pain or continue to bleed briskly.

i got a knot on back of my neck about an inch long and dark in color it burns when i turn neck to the right same side it is on i was in the hospital about 3 years ago and they said my arteres are block 45% could this be a clot i am poor so it hard to get

It : It is hard for me to know what that area could be, but I do think it should be evaluated, especially as it sounds like you have a complicated medical history.  An area of pain and burning on your neck that is dark in color should be evaluated by a physician.  If you have pain, fever, any weakness or numbness, then you would need to be seen as an emergency.

blood clots in urine have stent from narrow ureter due to tumor. clots passing are painful and blocks my urine. what could be the cause?

Several causes.: The presence of a stent in the urinary tract can cause irritation to the lining of the ureter and bladder causing bleeding. Tumors, besides obstructing, can bleed if they cause any erosion of the ureteral lining. If you are passing large clots and blood, a known risk of stents is the development of a communication between a blood vessel and the ureter. Please see your physicians for evaluation.

Clots ruled out: A dedicated ct angiogram looked at the heart first, but was likely done in a manor sufficient to rule out clots in the blood vessels of the lung. This would likely go with shortness of breath as well as pain. The abnormal esophagus and hiatal hernia sound like the most likely culprit. Suggest you read about these and gerd (gastro-esophageal reflux disease) before seeing your doc this week.

Clotting: By the time anyone would answer this, a fresh wound would have already clotted. The body has a complicated and incredibly interesting series of chemical reactions that initiate the clotting process. If the wound is deep, involves a blood vessel, your on an anticoagulant or you have an inherited disorder of blood clotting then a wound will not clot or take a long time to do so.

Blood derived: The liquid part of blood, called plasma, contains a number of proteins/factors essential for blood clotting.  Some of the factors can be isolated for administration to patients deficient in a given factor, e.g., factor viii for hemophilia.

WHY?: Not enough information here. I would not worry about blood clots unless you have them or have a tendency to get them. Even then worry will not help but seek medical care and see what can be done to be preventative!
