Fibroids/bleeding: You need to see a gyn physician as soon as possible. Yes you are in the perimenopause phase which is characterised by menstrual changes from heavy regular to heavy irregular menstrual bleeding. Soon it will change to scanty missed periods in between months. However, in the presence of fibroids the pattern could be affected in an unpredictable way. You also need endomtrial biopsy to rule out cancer.

what causes bleeding from the cervix after menopause? us shows endometrial thickening of 8mm and no change in fibroids. bleeding is from cervix.

Bleeding: Polyps both endocervical and prolapsed endometrial polyps, cervicitis (inflammation from infection), cervical cancer are some of the causes.  In your case I wouldn't expect to see an 8mm endometrium at age 60, so I'm concerned about possible hyperplasia.  Trauma from sex can cause cervical and vaginal bleeding as well from atrophy.

does a hysterectomy bring on symptoms of menopause? my doctor is recommending a hysterectomy to deal with my severe fibroids and bleeding; she calls it "surgical menopause." will i have symptoms of menopause like hot flashes after the surgery?

If : If your ovaries are removed that causes a "surgical menopause". Some women have many symptoms from menopause including hot flashes, but there are also many women who have no significant symtoms.

One year: This sounds pretty good you should not be worried those findings are typical for postmenopausal women and they are consistent with a healthy woman's findings.

Not always.: Anytime their is postmenopausal bleeding then an US evaluation of the uterine lining should be performed.  If the endometrial stripe is more than 3-5 mm then an endometrial sample should be taken.  This can usually be done in the office and does not require a D and C.  Sometimes your doctor may want to insert a thin flexible camera into the uterus to further evaluate the lining.

Does not cause bleed: Spironolactone would not be a reason to have postmenopausal bleeding. Any postmenopausal bleeding could potentially be serious, so you should have a medical evaluation. That could possibly include an ultrasound or endometrial biopsy. Good luck!

i am 44 yr old mom of  4 .i have hypothyroidism, itp, reoccuring fibroids, &menopause. recently had sex 4 weeks after cyrotherapy and i bled during sex.  not  bleeding now but cramping do i call the dr?

Yes: Monitoring of your platelet is important. Though your are not currently bleeding your platelet may be extremley low put you at risk of profuse bleeding with minimal trauma.
