Bad habit: it is a common habit and hard to break but you should make a sincere and concerted effort to stop yourself from biting.  Once you have been bite free for several days, the habit will be broken.  You might try chewing sugar free gum in an effort to distract you from biting.

Seek immediate attention from your pcp or urgent care source to be placed on antibiotics today! follow up in 7-10 days is a must to avoid more serious complications. There is always a potential need for an incision ; drainage procedure, which requires a face to face encounter!
