please advise what is the best way to bring down a swelling or bruise on childs forehead?

Apply ice.: Immediately after the injury, apply an ice pack to the area, on and off for 10 minutes at a time for a few hours. There will probably still be swelling and bruising, which will go away after a couple of days, but the ice will help somewhat. If it doesn't, you should have your child seen by a doctor. If there is vomiting or loss of consciousness, you should also see a doctor.

how can i bring down the swelling of tonsils? i don't have any medical insurance and i would like to know what is the best way to reduce the swelling of the tonsils.

The : The simplest way to reduce the tonsil swelling is oral hygiene.  Make sure you chew your food thoroughly and use plenty of water to drink in between solid bites in order to flush everything down.  Gargling with saline, ideally right after a meal, can also reduce any residue in the back of the throat.

If a bacterial infection is suspeceted, an antibiotic may be necessary.  Otherwise, some doctors use a short course of cortisone to (temporarily) reduce the size of the tonsils.

: Since it has already “popped”. Push out as much fluid possible. Then apply antibiotic and cover with bandage. No guarantee it will not return.

: 1st Question is, why is one taking potassium? Potassium is a necessary nutrient for proper function of the body- nerves &amp; muscles especially heart muscles. Too much potassium (5.1mEq/L+) by lab can cause problem with nausea, weakness, dizziness, irregular heart beat and even heart attack &amp; death. People with kidney disease can have leg &amp; ankles swelling. One should discuss use of potassium w PCP

RICE:  Consider RICE - R -resting the joint, I- intermittently icing the area, C- light compression and E- elevating the joint. Acetaminophen is safe.

Did : Did you have the penetrating wound to your knee address to see if it got to the joint? Where any x-rays taken? You don't give enough information for a clear answer.

2 months ago i cut my knuckle 3/4" wide really deep down to the knuckle on a can lid. i used butterfly sutures & it closed nicely. about 2 weeks ago it started getting sore and now it's swelling. could it be infected? i've had tetanus shot, no meds.
