Not enough time: The most common cause is that people give up too quickly because they become discouraged.  Base success on the number of months using the diet rather than pounds lost.

Fast food can be OK: Tips include getting junior burgers, skipping the fries and getting fruit or a salad, drinking water or tea, and walking in to order and eat instead of driving through.  Don't fall for the "value meals"; they are not good deals nutritionally.  Remember you've got a carb/calorie budget to stick to!

Count calories: I do not recommend this approach but if you include junk food but limit your total calories, you can still lose weight. It's just not a healthy way to lose weight.

Do not try to put on: Weight? If you are otherwise healthy, being skinny is not a disease. Soon enough you will start gaining weight and look back fondly at these days. Please eat a mixed diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, nuts; low in saturated fats (that includes fast foods), no tobacco and no alcohol, exercise 30 minutes each.

No: all you will do is defeat the hard work you have done the rest of the week/month. It's total calories that you don't eat but do burn off that leads to weight loss. It's 3500 calories to the pound. You can't learn how to eat properly for the rest of your life if you start off with cheating.

Unhealthy lifestyle!: 140/90 or higher is considered high blood pressure. However eating unhealthy and fast food and never exercising is likely to lead to serious health problems such as obesity, diabetes, heart disease and even cancer.

Body composition: Body composition ( muscle and fat) differs from person to person as does the amount of calories a person burns. Fast food is very high in calories and fat and im not suprised you would gain weight. Dont compare yourself to others, eat healthy and listen to your own body. If you dont want fast weight gain, dont eat fast foods. Choose healthier alternatives, prepare your own foods.

The : The best way to lose weight is through a change in your lifestyle, including eating healthier and getting consistent exercise. If you have tried multiple diets and regain the weight and your bmi is above 35 with either diabetes or hypertension then a surgical intervention may be a reasonable option. 
Join a gym and meet with a nutritionist that will help you figure out a meaningful way of changing your eating habits. Remember if you drink regular soda or juice, this can add 300 calories or more a day. If a person stores 4000 calories extra that will mean a 1 pound weight gain. Start drinking more water and as a compromise a little diet soda.
