Myokymia: As you recover, the nerve function is sensitive, and fasciculatory activity would be expected.  Would not worry about the activity around your eye, as is most likely part of recovery.

Bells recovery: When a person is recovering from Bell's palsy, they may notice they can close their eye fully, or that there is twitching in the muscles by the eye or the mouth, or that the corner of the mouth moves more effectively.  Recovery can require weeks to months.

Yes: The facial nerve is severely damaged in bells palsy, but then has to recover and regrow.  As it regrows it will produce very strange sensations.  It may even regrow down wrong paths and cause strange outcomes (jaw - wink, etc).  This is normal course of recovery.

See an ENT: Recovery rates from bell's palsy vary widely. When symptoms first appear, steroids (such as prednisone) improve recovery, and anti-virals (such as Acyclovir or valacyclovir) may provide an added benefit. After 3 months, these medications are unlikely to be helpful. Sometimes nerve translocation surgeries can help restore facial movement; consult with an ent.

1 week ago i was diagnosed with bell's palsy. i wondered if there was anything you recommend to do in order to have a successful and speedy recovery?

A few approaches: Typically, bell's palsy has an uneventful full recovery in over 90% with or without therapy.  Some doctors use anti-viral drugs, and steroids.  B-complex vitamins of unclear benefit.  Protecting the afflicted eye which fails to close, against corneal abrasions should be main focus, and maybe should be temporarily patched.

i am suffering from bells palsy.  my eye on that side is not focusing properly and interferes a bit with what my other eye can see.  if i put a patch on the bad eye, will that delay my recovery?
i am thinking not because it is really a nerve issue..?

: Yes, you should patch the eye on the affected side, as the blink response is not normal, and the possibility of a corneal abrasion is real.  Once the motion recovers, you will no longer need the patch.  Are you working with a doctor at this point?  Perhaps find a neurologist.

i had a bell's palsy event.  on prednisone but noticing a difference in tone recovery between my mouth and eyes. mouth is faster. is this common?

Yes: Nerve recovery is variable and may occur in one branch of the nerve before another. This is typical and hopefully you will have a full recover soon.

SOME THOTS: Bilateral issues suggest that this is NOT just simple Bell's palsy, and instead may represent a different process.  Eye pain with a blind spot raises questions of an optic nerve inflammation.  Suggest visit to neurologist, as several different explanations may need to be considered.  I would test for sarcoid, MS, vasculitis like lupus, etc.  We might be able to help further via

Not much to do: Most patients with Bell's Palsy recover completely, but it takes time. Perhaps of greatest importance is ensuring eye protection if unable to completely close the lid on the affected side. Acyclovir is often reserved for patients with more severe nerve injury, thus, it is important that you follow up with qualified medical personnel to monitor recovery

Loss of nerve action: Bell's palsy is from dysfunction of the seventh cranial nerve which activates the muscles of the face.  It usually occurs suddenly, rarely has pain, but causes the eyelids, facial side and mouth to droop.  Most are self limited but can take up to 6 months to improve.  A few last and need surgery to correct the changes in the eye and the eating problems from the droopy mouth.
