Bee sting: Remove stinger by scraping along edge of skin with a credit card.  Clean with soap ; warm water.  Apply ice in 10 minute. Increments; alternating 10 on ; 10 off.  Tylenol, (acetaminophen) Aspirin or Motrin for pain or Benadryl for swelling.  Make a paste of 2 parts baking soda ; 1 part water ; apply.   Or you can apply a meat tenderizer poultice to the area. Throat, airway or tongue  swelling – call 911.

hi, my daughter 2.5 years old has something on her neck. i'm not sure if it is a bee stinger stuck under the skin. tried a boil plaster to see if it would surface but nothing and it appears a little swollen?

Cellulitis: Regardless of what caused it, if her skin is red, swollen and hot to the touch, it may be infected. Treatment of cellulitis involves prescription antibiotics and careful monitoring to avoid worsening infection.  Consult a Dr via video or in person for an examination diagnosis and treatment.

If red just at the: bite sight then it may take up to a week or 2 to go away. If the redness spreads or you get hives or trouble breathing seek medical attention.

No: Your skin will be fine in a few days.  Initially, you will have a red, itchy bruise but this will go away.  Just don't pick the blister or subsequent scab and don't scratch.  Those actions can cause a scar and infection.  If you're allergic to bee stings or pollen, however, see your doctor because you may get a more involved localized reaction.

Possibly yes: This is seen more  frequently in hymenoptera models (insects) but not in aeroallergen (pollens, danders, etc).

Head or face? Many..: ..possibilties but if ur symptoms involve the face, it is similar to a neurological problem called trigeminal neuralgia. (Trigeminal nerve covers the face). See a neurologist for a diagnosis &amp; treatment. Other possibilities include shingles / viral infection affecting nerve, brain &amp; spinal cord problems, nerve impingement, skin conditions, &amp; I suppose vascular problems. But TTYD &amp; get a diagnosis.

No: Allergic reactions to bee stings are characterized by symptoms away from the site of the sting. If all of the reaction to a sting - blisters, swelling, redness - are all directly connected to the site of the sting, it's a large local reaction. If you get stung on the foot and get hives on your arms, or your throat swells or you start to wheeze - those are allergic reactions. See an allergist.

Prob not: Make sure you pulled the head of the tick out of the skin and ask you doc next steps. You can treat ahead of any symptoms and skin changes or just wait, but I would recommend treatment with doxycycline only  if 1) not pregnant, or lactating, 2) attached for &gt; or = to 36 hrs, and 3) identified as an adult or nymph stage deer tick...

Have it examined: If it is painful, it is best to have it evaluated. Examining it sooner than later can help with treating it more effectively.
