Reactive Lymph node: Sounds like you may have and ear infection. The lymph nodes in that area would be expected to have increased activity as demonstrated by being somewhat more noticeable to larger as well as local tenderness.  Get your ear checked, the doc will check the local lymph nodes at the same time to be thorough.

there's a firm ball under my jaw that's been there for over two years (hasn't changed) doctors always say swollen gland.. is it most likely a tumour?

Probably not: If it starts to change, get bigger or become painful follow up with your doctor for a re-check.

Not Right.: Go see your dentist.  Nothing normal is going to swell then go down and be movable.  I don't want to guess.  Just see your dentist.

Give it some time.: Sounds like an ear infection, by itself or perhaps in the context of sinusitis.  Either way, Clindamycin does take a while to work. Give it a couple more days.

Soft and squishy: Your submandibular glands are soft and squishy and live just beneath the edge of your jaw line. Many patients are able to feel their own glands, and Doctors will try to palpate the glands when there is a sore throat, or neck pain. Sometimes they can be swollen, tender, or inflamed  when you have a flu, a common cold, or may be fighting off a minor illness. Do not be alarmed.
