hi, i have got an oily skin and i can't get off the black heads from my nose. is there anyway i can reduce the oilyness and the blackheads? thanks

Blackheads: Don't scrub! It just injures the skin and increases the risk of infection.   Your hormones are to blame for the only skin and I don't think you want to attempt changing that.  A salicylic gel or base is probably the most helpful but apply sparingly at night,  starting with a couple of times per week,  increasing nightly.   Use a very gentle cleanser specifically for the face (not for oily skin).

i have a very oily skin. by early afternoon my skin looks like a mirror! oil control lotions seems fairly ineffective. is medication my only solution?

Oily skin: Sometimes when we have oily skin, our first inclination is to wash it with  cleanser more frequently.  But that often serves to dry out the skin more frequently, which causes your skin to become more oily.  It becomes a hard to break cycle.  If you think you're getting acne from the excessive oil, it might be good to at least talk with your doc about options - it doesn't mean you have to use them.

Topicals: Absolutely.  Go for a good medical grade facial and consider daily use of medical grade skincare products.  Will work great.

Acne: Topical and systemic medications are effective and recommended for acne. But if you are unable to use or take these, a mainly-plant diet can lessen flares in some people. Many over the counter remedies are sold at a pharmacy but these can be expensive and in general are less effective than prescription products for moderate to severe acne. Moisturize & Protect: Make sure you are using a moisturizing sunscreen of at least a spf 30 every morning - even if the clouds are out.  Skin will pigment in response to inflammation - and acne causes inflammation.  I really like the eucerin redness relief line of products for a good otc choice.  A derm can help you out with prescription grade products as well.  Good luck!

The spots scaly: The spots have a find flake on them you could have a superficial fungus infection that is not contagious. Other than that i cannot make a diagnosis you need to be seen by a dermatologist if you can.
