Acne: Topical and systemic medications are effective and recommended for acne. But if you are unable to use or take these, a mainly-plant diet can lessen flares in some people. Many over the counter remedies are sold at a pharmacy but these can be expensive and in general are less effective than prescription products for moderate to severe acne.
