It may need to be re: Watch if it is growing in size. Your doctor can also monitor it and use Sonogram to check if it is growing over a period of time. It will need to be removed if it is growing in Size. Biopsy may be an alternative to surgical removal. Seek second opinion to be sure that two doctors can agree to the monitoring and Treatment plan.

i have recently done a biopsy on my breast(right) outcome came as the differential is between fibroadenoma and phyllodes tumor. my doctor still on leave due xmas/ny. what is there is no invasive carcinoma means( it doesnt say non invasive) thank y?

Breast mass: Fibrocystic breast disease is a benign condition, but can make mammograms difficult to read b/c of the density of the breasts; A phyllodes tumor is a connective tissue tumor, and can become malignant 10% of the time. Best is to have an excisional  biopsy of the phyllodes tumor. and inquire of your gyn about low dose oral bcp's, which can reduce fibrocystic breast disease.

i had a breast mammogram and ultra sound in august 2013. then a biopsy for a fibroadenoma which proved not cancerous. did a follow up routine mammogram and worried cause doctor ask to see me next week?

Why worry: Call your doctor and ask why are you being seen. A benign condition of your breast in the past is a good sign. Maybe just need to have a breast physical exam to correlate to the mammogram. Maybe scar tissue from the prior surgery. Maybe the fibroadenoma is changed. Ask questions at your visit as i cannot tell what your doctor is thinking now.

lump found in rt. breast at 5:30 position on 3/2012. biopsy said fibroadenoma. next us found lump at 7:30. biopsy says fibroadenoma. same lump?

Possibly: This is hard to answer without knowing more information.  Was the first one completely exised or just biopsied?  The breast radiologist should be able to answer your question.  Regardless, both are benign so i would not worry.  Fibroadenomas are not uncommon in young women.

Excisional biopsy?: Consider an excisional biopsy for a tissue diagnosis to confirm the presence of the fibroadenomas especially if you are worried, have a family history of breast, ovarian, or colon cancer(genetic), or the growths are large. Get a second opinion.

age 40, (1st mammo/biopsy) confirmed 1.3x.8x1.4cm subareolar fibroadenoma in breast. more painful + incrs'd to 1.4x1.5x1.8c in 2yrs. leave or remove?

Talk to surgeon: If the lesion is getting larger and is painful, surgical removal may be the best answer. Talk to your surgeon to determine the proper course of action for you.

i have possible multiple fibroadenomas in my left breast and going for a sonar guided biopsy however they are only going to test 1 of 4. how will they know for certain that the remaining "fibroadenomas" are benign and if they are indeed fibroadenoma?

Breast masses: "Testing only one" of your diagnosed "fibroadenomas" will not, of course, guarantee what the constituency of the other three is, so discuss this with your GYN provider, as it will not prove the others are benign.

i am 29 and i have has 3 breast core biopsies. all which were fibroadenomas. but lately off and on my left breast itches badly. what could that mean?

Skin not breast: Itching is a symptom which arises from the skin, rather than from the breast (milk) glands under the skin. It is almost never an isolated symptom of cancer. Large-breasted women may develop irritation and itching from moisture collecting between breast and chest. If you have redness of breast, edema of the skin, or a breast lump see a doctor soon.

i have 2.16 cm fibroadenoma in my breast. i know it by biopsy. i want to know its cure without surgery?

Not possible: If you want to be rid of the lump, it's a simple surgical procedure.
