No, mainly dryness: Pingueculae are areas of elastoic degeneration or sun damage on the conjunctiva.  They rarely present any permanent problems, but can be irritating because they dry out more than normal conjunctiva.  Lubricant drops help, and if very bothersome, a short course of topical low dose steroid drops can be used.

Surgery: I see that you are on FML (fluorometholone) drops to stop inflammation in the pinquecula. This is good but the only was to permanently remove it is with surgery which may be able to be done in the ophthalmologist's office. If you wear contact lenses sometimes a change in lenses will help.

Redness, irritation: Pinguecula, a benign growth nasally or temporally on the eye starting next to the cornea, is an overgrowth response to wind, dust and sunlight.  Small ones generally have no symptoms, but larger ones can look prominent  cosmetically.  Generally these are left alone but can be removed if obvious but they frequently will regrow. They do not threaten vision.

Art. tears better: I would not use Dexamethasone drops without supervision by an ophthalmologist (they may cause increased pressure in the eyes, may mask infection, etc.)  neomycin and polymyxin drops may cause allergic irritation.  The moisturizing effect of artificial tears is safest.  If the pinguecula cause symptoms in spite of four times a day art. Tears, you should probably see your eye doctor..Y.

Pinguecula : Pingueculum is an area of degeneration in the conjunctiva,the outer covering of the eye,caused by the suns uv light.Usually located nasally.No treatment is usually indicated. Computer use is not a cause. Age not a factor. It is permanent and benign.Occasionally if it enlarges or if blood vessels occur(a pterygium) local surgery may be necessary.

No: A pinguecula is a fibrous overgrowth on the surface of the eyeball, in the whites of the eyeball.  You do not want to scratch the eyeball.  Perhaps you don't mean a pinguela, but a rather you mean a stye or chalazion which are infections or pimples occurring in the eyelid.  Those are treated with warm compresses and antibiotics.

Not serious: Pinguecula are the eyes way of dealing with environmental wind, and light and irritation.  They are yellowish structures in the open space next to the cornea and are not pathological.  They will not affect vision or the health of the eye.  They can be removed if very prominent but they are there because the eye wants them for protection.
