Not serious: Pinguecula are the eyes way of dealing with environmental wind, and light and irritation. They are yellowish structures in the open space next to the cornea and are not pathological. They will not affect vision or the health of the eye. They can be removed if very prominent but they are there because the eye wants them for protection.
