Surgery: I see that you are on FML (fluorometholone) drops to stop inflammation in the pinquecula. This is good but the only was to permanently remove it is with surgery which may be able to be done in the ophthalmologist's office. If you wear contact lenses sometimes a change in lenses will help.

Not necessary: Pingueclua are a normal response to wind, dust and uv light. They are the eyes defense in the middle years to these external forces. They have no symptoms and are usually unnoticed. Very rarely they are large enough to be cosmetically a problem - but very rare. If you were to surgically remove a pingueculum at your age, it would grow back.
