Depends: If veggie chips are baked and low sodium then they would be healthier than standard fried and salted potato chips. If the veggie chips are heavily salted and deep fat fried then they would be about the same as potato chips, not that healthy.

Fiber = gas: Sounds like you have a good quantity of roughage / insoluble fiber in your diet. If a new change, can take a while for the body to acclimate. If not, illness or meds can sometimes alter the gut flora. Live culture yogurt might help reset the system. If persists, see your Dr for exam.

Keep an open mind: &amp; start experimenting with different foods. Being a junk food lover myself - I find that if I eat a lot of junk food - that little else excites me. However, when I clear the crap out of my diet - more and more things become appealing. Think positive !

Healthy Diet: The most healthy diet contains 7-9 servings of fruits and vegetables, 1-1.5 grams of protein per Kg of body weight, and fats mostly from vegetable sources. Check up: Consider a medical evaluation for other causes of weakness besides diet. It sounds like your diet and intestines are working well. Perhaps you have an abnormality of your thyroid or an issue with your heart. There are also psychological changes to be considered, but first have a medical evaluation.

Incomplete Digestion: It is not normal to have undigested food in your stool. You are not breaking foods down enough to absorb nutrients. There can be a wide variety of reasons for this to happen but if it occurs regularly you should see a holistic practitioner to have nutrient status and functional gut testing done.

I advise evaluation by a gastroenterologist and/or an integrative doctor who practices Functional Medicine. Acupuncture and herbs like Triphala may help but the cause should be evaluated.
