May need biopsy: You need to see endocrinologist and most likely have   fine needle aspiration and or biopsy, you may need blood work and radioactive iodine scan of thyroid as well.

Go for FNA: I hope you are talking about thyroid nodule. Hypoechoic or hyperechoic   how sound wave is reflecting in  thyroid tissue. Hypoechoic will have higher incidence of cancer you should have simple painless  fine needle aspiration biopsy. Even if  it is ca highly curable especially young age.Do not worry and go for it I am sure your doctor already advised  you.

More age dependent: The types of ovarian cancers one can get depends very much, nearly exclusively, on the age of the patient.  Thus a nodule in a 21 year old means a very different thing from one in a 65 year old.  Average age for diagnosis is 63.  If you're asking the question for yourself, most common ovarian cancer at your age is a germ cell or stromal tumor.  Most important is to get the advice of your doctor.

Nodule: Hypoechoic generally means that the lesion is more likely to be cystic (contains fluid), however, increased vascularity is concerning. depending on the history, location and presence of other symptoms fine needle aspiration for cytological analysis or a biopsy should be considered. Watch for alternative points of view from other physicians

Yes, it's possible: Hi. If you have nodules 10 mm or more in diameter, they should have a fine needle aspiration biopsy (FNAB) to make sure they're not cancer or respond appropriately if they are. Some ultrasound characteristics make cancer more or less likely, but cancer cannot be diagnosed or excluded based on ultrasound; you need cells (and newer genetic testing helps). Remember, most nodules are NOT cancer.

Maybe??: You don't say where it is but microcalcifications is not a good sign. What you need is a needle biopsy under fluoroscopic guidance to make sure they look closely at that tissue.

Unlikely: Risk of cancer in a thyroid nodule is about 5%. You can't tell by just looking at it on an ultrasound.  The only way to investigate this short of surgery is to undergo an ultrasound guided biopsy. At the very least,  you will need to check another ultrasound in a year to monitor for size changes.

i have a 57x37x56 nodule on my thyroid. it is solid and hetergenously hypoechoic and is hypervascular at the periphery of the lesion. is it cancerous?

Suspicious: Your nodule is significant in size. I would recommend you to get a biopsy done to the nodule to rule out cancer.
