Lexapro (escitalopram): Fairly common side-effects, short duration &amp; should ease up with time. Not sure what the dosage is, but I would recommend switching the timing of taking it, such as in a.m. instead of bedtime, or splitting the dose to lower one twice daily. Consult your doctor first.

It causes restlessness, fatigue, muscle tension &amp; concentration difficulties. It is considered a normal reaction to a stressor, unless it interferes with daily functioning or causes significant distress. First step is to rule out physical causes, thru workup by your PCP.

It has a considerable risk of addiction to it due to tolerance and that persons will take more than is indicated without noticing. It causes short and long term memory problems.

No: St jorns wort wil not help. You need to find ways to calm your anxiety with a therapist who can realty help turn your feelings and thoughts more positively for you.. Asking yourself what is the worst that can happen or the bes -this  might help. A situation may then not seem so anxiety provoking.and you can problem solve how to handle each situation in turn that is worrying you, in your life.

Lowering dose: of Lexapro (escitalopram), (escitalopram) which is an antidepressant that also is used to treat anxiety, could cause your anxiety to worsen since you're treating your anxiety less now. Did you lower the Lexapro (escitalopram) because of side effects? If so, maybe you need another medicine. Likely headache : If it's wave like, meaning it comes and goes then it's less likely something serious. Anxiety is possible but a cluster headache or even migraine is a possibility. It could be from you clenching your teeth at night or maybe from pressure in the sinuses. Neck tension is another big cause which goes hand in hand with tension headaches.

Un- or Conscious or : Some purely physical conditions could underlie those symptoms, so a good exam might be a help. But if that shows nothing, it's likely emotional whether conscious or not. Thoughts alone can be triggers of threat (or those very things) can start a cascade of chemicals & hormones. A therapist can help zero in on your internal experiences to find the issues. Then you may begin to resolve them. Or meds.
