: You did not say MRI of which area. I would suggest losing weight if you are overweight and to avoid wearing tight things around the area of the entrapment. The PT may be able to recommend exercises you could do that may be helpful. Lateral cutaneous nerve is another example of entrapment that you could Google that may help you understand better.

MERALGIA: This is a pure sensory nerve, and no weakness or reflex changes appear, but there is numbness and/or tingling over antero-lateral thigh, and maybe some aching or even burning over the same area.  May get worse with tight objects about the waist, and is associated with weight gain, belts, seat belt injuries, and diabetes.

Pressure on nerve: This means that the nerve that carries sensation from the outer part of the thigh gets entrapped or pinched in the thigh or pelvis. Usually this happens as it passes down from the abdomen to the thigh underneath a ligament. This is mostly seen in diabetics, people who experience rapid weight gain, pregnancy, obesity, tight clothes/belts. It is generally gets better once the cause is removed.

Unlikely: What you described is an unlikely situation. What is causing the swelling of cecum? It is not feasible to provide a meaningful opinion without examining you.
Wish you good health! - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Drink enough water daily, so that your urine is mostly colorless. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form. 
Practice safe sex, if you have sex.

Hernias can do a lot: The "posterior cutaneous nerve" I think is AKA posterior division of the lateral femoral cutaneous nerve (LFCN).  LFCN problems mess up feeling in the front, outside of the thigh. Symptoms usu. happen with seat belt inj.,  bone grafts and diabetes. 
There are many weird hernias in the pelvis so it seems possible to compromise the LFCN but in 30 yrs of reading CT and MRI, I've not seen it.

Call your surgeon: Call your surgeon today if you have a question. Even if its not during normal work hours, someone will be covering. In general, wounds should be kept dry until they are not oozing fluid, then it is ok to shower - usually 24-48 hours. Activity as tolerated.  Obviously it depends on the incision location regarding any special instructions. Hope this helps.

Diagnostic testing: Plantar fasciitis and Baxter's neuritis may coexist.  A thorough history and physical examination as well as diagnostic testing such as ultrasound or MRI can often differentiate between the two problems.   Plantar fasciitis is generally more common than Baxter's neuritis.  Both problems often respond well to proper orthotic therapy and supportive shoe gear, such as athletic shoes.
