This rolling over allows weight to be born temporarily on the outside of the foot. It's fortunate that you do not have pain, but natural for it to be still swollen at three weeks. Be patient. Swelling typically resolves at 12 to 16 weeks, but can last longer with recurrent sprains or chronic ankle joint problems. At your age, this likely will not be a future problem.

Ankle injury: There are a couple of injuries that can occur from twisting the ankle. Of course there is an ankle sprain that can take up to 16 weeks to feel normal. You can also injure several tendons as well as there are various types of fractures of the ankle. One called ocd can cause chronic pain and can not be seen by xrays. My recommendation is to see a foot and ankle specialist and have an MRI done.
