Swelling is natural: Ankle joint swelling following a mild or moderate sprain is common. It can last a lot longer than you think. It's fortunate that you do not have pain, but natural for it to be still swollen at three weeks. Be patient. Swelling typically resolves at 12 to 16 weeks, but can last longer with recurrent sprains or chronic ankle joint problems. At your age, this likely will not be a future problem.

Yes: After spraining or injuring your ankle there will typically be retained swelling for at least 6-8 weeks depending on the level of injury... it will subside. If you are concerned I recommend a follow up appt! Best wishes!
