Depends: It really depends on your symptoms.  Ankle instability is treated nonoperatively with ankle supports and possibly physical therapy.  If nonoperative management fails, surgery is sometimes recommended to stabilize the ankle.

Not lymphoma: Painful swelling in foot ankle frequently from trauma.  A torn ligament will cause severe symptoms and foot boot to prevent motion helps.  Swelling reduced by elevation of foot and site of tenderness, if found should be infiltrated with lidocaine plus kenalog (triamcinolone) (40) . Lymphoma develops in lymph nodes which are not prominent in ankle/foot. Lung lesion needs bx.

it has been 4 months since my ankle twisted. doctors said it's ligament tear and gave medicines but nothing happened. i still can't walk. help?

Ankle twisted: Sorry to hear, you may have a more severe ankle sprain.  At this point, physical therapy may be helpful.  If pt fails, you may need further diagnostic imaging like an mri.  There may be more severe damage to your ankle joint and it may need more specialized treatment.  Hope this helps.

Yes it is possible: These days staying in the hospital different than before, they could  send with pump for pain if you have no complications.

Vascular doctor: Typically you would go to your vascular doctor. However, you could go to your primary care doctor as well.

Yes!: Without knowing your original injury and the surgical treatment it's hard to answer your question.  Both screws and subluxation can make your "ankle pop" with pain.  There are diagnostic modalities to pinpoint your problem.  I would seek a third opinion.  Good luck!

i sprained my ankle, the doctor said i dudn't need crutch or a brace but it hurts so bad. what should i do?

Rest/Strap/Elevate: Rest / Ice/ Compress/ Elevate 24 hrs

If you can continue to weight bear without much pain, the chances are it is a simple sprain.  if you find that you are not able to put weight on it after 48-72 hrs, you may need an X Ray to rule out an avulsion fracture, which is when a tiny flake of bone can get pulled off with the ligament during a sprain as well. Try and obtain a walking stick or crutches

i had cellulitis on my left leg in 2007.it healed but i still get a swollen ankle. my doctor won't do anything about it. no red/or pain. just annoying?

Second opinion: Swelling after cellulitis should be taken seriously. I suggest a second medical opinion and examination.

my joints lock up quite often in my elbows, knees, hips, wrist, and ankles, my doctors have seen nothing wrong with me, what shoild i do?

Hard to say: We see locking due to catilage problems, lack of congruity in appositon of the joints (if theyare  not fitting together properly)but the cuase of widespread locking is less clear. During your evaluation be certain you are  evaluated for hypermobility (increased flexibility). This could explain locking by lack of congruity.
