Emergency room: You can go to the emergency room if you suspect an infection. Also, depending on which doctor is not in. If it is your primary care doctor, find out who is on call and ask to speak with that physician. You also might try calling a podiatrist to see if you can get in. Podiatrists treat wounds and infections of the foot and ankle.
