Cyst: If you have had it evaluated , then your treating physician should discuss that with you.  If you have not and are self diagnosing , you should see a physician so it can be discussed .   Start with your podiatrist

Either way: Either technique would work.  Using less invasive techniques can cause less scarring.

5 days after skin operation (removal of 1 big cyst from the scalp + 2 moles from back and leg). stitches on with bandaid (except head, only stitches). can my partner take a shower without bandaids and wash his hair? what is the best to do to clean?

Yes: Five days is long enough for the surface of the wound to have sealed. Usual washing with soap and water is fine.

Well: You have a significant history for one so young.  You need to see your doctor for an exam. Most likely a back issue but with your history there are many things that have to be ruled out

R/O DVT: DVT=Blood Clot would cause unilateral foot pain and swelling. . A Doppler US of the lower extremity will define the anatomy. Other conditions to evaluate are LYMPHEDEMA/RSD(REFLEX SYMPATHETIC DYSTROPHY). /AVN( AVASCULAR necrosis )Also a full clotting W/U. You need  a prompt exam and through W/U.

Done: If it reoccurs after one attempt, it is very unlikely that aspiration alone will be a permanent fix. If it is painful, consider having it surgically excised.

does it tell anything of an ankle ganglion cyst if not much fluid was aspirated from it?  i thought it should contain a lot more fluid.

Accepted Answer

No: The volume aspirated may not be a goood predictor of anything. Sometimes the needle may become clogged during the aspiration procedure.
